Escape to Paradise! is the holiday of a lifetime.
A journey into sun, sea, sand and psychology. A Caribbean excursion where everything is not quite what it seems. A holiday like this, how much do you think it would cost?
Escape to Paradise! looks into how the US government policing the world with their plea for the fight for human rights justifies the existence of Guantanamo Bay. It explores the treatment of the detainees and the behaviour of the military force and all involved in the war using dance, spoken text and music to present the audience with a different insight into an absurd and surreal reality.
Performed as part of Mixed Routes at Camden People’s Theatre and Rose Bruford Theatre, produced by Pan Intercultural Arts; Inter-mission showcased by State of Emergency, Stratford Circus; Greenwich Dance and London Theatre Festival.
